Our Story

WSC Quarries is a new division of Western Suburbs Concrete. WSC has been in operation for nearly 40 years supplying concrete to all size projects across Western Sydney.

We have become a market leader in Western Sydney by building & maintaining long standing relationships with our customers and we are a values based business.

WSC started as a small concrete supplier in 1986 by the Vicary Family and has grown ever since , becoming one of the leading concrete suppliers in Western Sydney.

The Vicary Family operate a sand quarry in the Blue Mountains that has been in operation for the past four years. The quarry supplies sand to meet our demands at WSC , as well as other Concrete suppliers in Sydney and major infrastructure projects in Western Sydney:

Our sand was used in the concrete for the construction of the runways

M12 Freeway

Our sand was used in the concrete for the construction of the road pavements.

Peter Vicary is the managing director of WSC , having purchased the business from his father in the year 2000. Peter started working in the family business at the age of 16 as a yardman on a shovel and broom in the early years. With the 3^rd generation of Vicary’s showing interest in the family business , WSC will continue to be a family run business in the decades to come with our values of Respect : Integrity : Commitment : Safety always being at the heart of what we do and who we are.
